Description

🌿 Cala Figuera – Seafaring tradition in an authentic corner

Cala Figuera , located on the southeast coast of Mallorca, is one of the island's most picturesque and charming fishing villages. Its natural harbor juts out like a tongue of sea between cliffs and whitewashed houses, creating a tranquil and authentically Mallorcan setting.

Although Cala Figuera doesn't have a beach as such, it's an excellent starting point for exploring nearby unspoiled coves by boat or for anchoring in its protected waters and enjoying a quiet setting, away from the crowds.

📍 Cies and close beaches recommended

  • Cala Santanyí : Just a few minutes away by boat. With crystal-clear waters and fine sand, it's perfect for anchoring, swimming, or enjoying with the family.
  • Cala Llombards : One of the most beautiful in the south, with pine trees that almost reach the water and spectacular rock formations.
  • Caló des Moro : A picture-postcard virgin cove with intense turquoise waters. Difficult to access by land, arriving by boat is the perfect option.
  • Cala s'Almunia : Right next to Caló des Moro. Rockier and wilder, it's ideal for those seeking tranquility and good snorkeling.
  • Es Pontàs : Impressive natural rock arch in the sea, ideal for photos and a quick stop en route.
  • Cala Mondragó and S'Amarador : Located in the natural park, these are ideal for spending more time. Unspoiled areas with protected landscapes and the possibility of safe anchorage.
  • Cala Figuera (open cove) : Not to be confused with the port, this is a pristine cove difficult to access by land, with clear waters and cliffs. Ideal for longer excursions from the area.

🚤 Sailing from Cala Figuera

Setting sail from this enclave allows:

  • Explore some of the most pristine and protected coves in the south
  • Enjoy an authentic and traditional environment
  • Avoid crowded areas and discover hidden gems
  • Quiet anchorages ideal for snorkeling and relaxation
  • Photographing iconic places like Es Pontàs or Caló des Moro from the sea

Cala Figuera is a gateway to the most natural and serene side of Mallorca , perfect for those who value the sea, calm, and beauty in its purest form.
