Description

The llaüt is the quintessential Mediterranean boat. It is a work of art, the culmination of hundreds of years of tradition. The Mar i Cel is a llaüt handcrafted from local wood by one of the finest shipwrights in Mallorca (in Mallorcan, “Mestre d'aixa”).

Captain Miguel Taberner, born in Mallorca, is a professional skipper and a telecommunications engineer. He is passionate about the sea and has extensive knowledge of the history and curiosities of PalmaBay.

Routes to the west

To the west of the bay, we'll see the city of Palma from the
sea, where the Cathedral and Bellver Castle stand out
prominently. We'll pass by the port of Palma , home to
some of the best yacht clubs, and admire some of the
largest and most luxurious yachts in the world. A few miles further on, we'll reach Illetes, where
we can always find a sheltered and peaceful anchorage. We'll then
pass the Port of Portals (one of the most luxurious in the world), and
further west, Punta Negra, Cala Viñas, and Cala Portals Vells, with its three
sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters.

Routes to the east

Heading east, we'll sail parallel to Playa de Palma and
pass by Son Verí, where we'll enter the Cueva Verde (Green Cave) and
have the opportunity to jump from the impressive cliffs. We'll then sail towards
the Cap Enderrocat marine reserve. We'll visit sea caves,
pristine, inaccessible beaches like Cala Vella, and countless small
coastal coves with turquoise waters and white sand.
